NJ State Senate Candidate, 34th District
Joseph Cupoli was born on November 9, 1964. Raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey by his father, Joe, a
store manager at a local ShopRite grocery store and homemaker mother Joyce; Joe is the second of six
children and the only son in a family of five daughters. Following his graduation from Bloomfield High
School in 1982, Joe entered NJIT where he completed his studies with a degree in Industrial Engineering
In 1984, Joe began working at P&A Auto Parts, a one-store family-run business. By 2003, Joe and his
business partner Bill Friedman purchased P&A Auto Parts and grew the business to ten store locations
throughout Passaic, Bergen and Essex counties, where they currently employ more than 150 people.
Joe and his wife, Jacqui, married in 1988 and purchased a home in Clifton, where they raised their three
children: Julie-Anne, 21, Joseph, 18, and Jake, 14.
Joe began his community involvement as a Little League Coach, eventually getting involved in Clifton
Board of Education issues before running for and winning a seat on the Clifton City Council in 2006.
Charity is a big part of the Cupoli family. Among the civic groups that Joe is currently active with are:
Knights of Columbus, Vice President of the CHS PTA, Recreation League basketball coach, St. Phillips
Parish and the Municipal Republican Leader in Clifton.
Joe believes that building consensus among both political parties will best serve the people of New
Jersey. He will work tirelessly to bring money back to the 34th District and will represent ALL of the
people, ALL of the time—not just when he is running for re-election. Joe believes in smaller government
and creating incentives to promote business growth and job creation in the 34th District.
